Appendix B – Ideas for Year End Spending

Reward Raffle for Volunteers (mostly a 2023 spend) $500.00

Dennis

I’d like to use funds for a Volunteer raffle. If we can get in the habit of a potential reward for showing up to trail days maybe we can get more people interested.

More Volunteers

Requires consistent recording

Vote: Approved pending a system to track volunteers

Meeting Infrastructure $500.00

Dennis

Chapter Zoom account; microphone, etc

More people can support/host

Vote: Approved Dennis to purchase Chapter Zoom account and quality mic/speaker

First Aid Class $500.00

Alan

Pay for (1-100)% of course when completed; up to x members.

More people trained

Alan doesn’t think money is the issue

Vote: Approved details to be finalized at 12/6 meeting

Onsite First Aid Class $1,000.00

Alan

Pay (?%) for trainer to give a class

Probably better attended than above

More volunteer effort and site is problematic (or expensive)

Vote: Continued/Inconclusive

Trail Care Package $500.00

Dennis

Create bundle with saw, clippers, gloves, safety glasses ? for:
- anyone/member that wants one
- anyone/member that shows at a trail day
- any new member signup
- monthly volunteer raffle
- board recommendation of a volunteer for public recognition

SAMPLE SAW: $17 VS $47

Vote: Approved – Alan to purchase Corona saws and kit components. Dennis to help assemble
