  1. DEM – Snow grooming

    1. Potential opportunity with onsite storage at Glocester Land Trust - Park for next winter

    2. Trek’s snow dog – Trek will store until Oct-2024 – needs to decide if RI NEMBA will take ownership and storage - Park for next Fall.

    3. Explore snow grooming MOU modeled on winter night riding with specific days and locations?

  2. DEM – Trail maintenance

    1. Explore establishing a trail maintenance MOU.

      1. Jason McSomething is contact at DEM. Mark waiting in a response

  3. DEM – Burlingame

    1. AMC approached NEMBA for joint trail maintenance on Vin Gormley trail.  Need input from DEM on dates to avoid hunting and camping.

    2. Mark reached out TO dem for a point of contact for Burlingame

  4. DEM – Arcadia

    1. Trail maintenance targeting June 22 or 29

    2. DEM is supportive.  OK with chain saws and hand tools.  No powered weed whackers/hedgers.

    3. Sand trail has severe erosion – needs dedicated trail day (visible in 1938 USGS aerial photos)

      1. 0.3 mi/140 ft elev. from gravel pit to trail head (ATV needed)

      2. First 0.5 mi of trail needs repairs and spot at 0.7 mi

      3. Vehicle access at 0.5 and 0.7 mi from trail head

      4. Need to educate Jeff at DEM on best practices. Good discussion of using this as an example of sustainable trail building.

  5. Joint trail build RINEMBA/Rhody Rovers

    1. Revisit after their next enduro event (June)

  6. Beginner Clinics (Saturday May18)

    1. Ryan Park beginner ride event - 6 registered to date, Dennis anticipates late registrations. 

    2. Planning Committee - Jim, Chris D, Tabitha, Mark Troob

    3. Dennis and Tabitha need backup. 

      1. Shannon able to help out

      2. Jason to check to see if tiffany can fill in as a women’s coach

      3. Jim to lead a coaches ride to ge them familiar with Ryan park, Saturday 9am, next Tuesday 9am

    4. Recycle-A-Bike can provide bikes/helmets.  Let them know what we need (Chris D).  Chris won’t be there.

    5. Peacedale ramp room will be there doing a demo

    6. Wounded Warrior project ride is no charge, led by Jay Smith

  7. RINEMBA 2024 Fun ride planning

    1. Diamond Hill: Not happening this year

    2. Adventure Series (formerly MBAS) ride for Woody Hill – July 14, 2024 – Planning needed

      1. Registration page set up, not live yet

      2. Food truck fell through. , had an idea of a catered buffet add-on to reg cost

        1. Dennis met a guy that caters, Keene’s Woodfire Grill.

      3. Dennis to talk with Paul and Ramp Room to get an airbag on site

      4. Carpooling incentives for 2025 WH events – how do we manage this?

  8. Earth Day Activities (Saturday 20-April) it was a wet one. Good turnout 50-60 ppl

    9. Matt Schulde has notified NEMBA of his intention to step down.  Actual date to be determined to allow VP replacement to be added to the board.

    10. Women's Skills & Clinic Leader Training – Westwood MA - May-4, 2024

    11. Elevate Mountain Bike Festival - June 14-16, 2024 in East Burke, VT

      1. Women and gender expansive cyclists

      2. Group Rides, Workshops, Clinics

      3. Coaches & Volunteers Needed

  10. Arcadia Bridge Build

    1. Left over wood from old bridge available for re-purposing.

  11. Glocester Land Trust Meeting

    1. Glocester Land Trust approved a motion to move forward on a partnership with RINEMBA to build a professionally designed mountain bike trail in Sprague Farm

    2. We need to contact professional trail builders and create a first steps action plan before the next meeting

      2. Mike Leblanc as a backup (of Mike’s Trail fame) Tulip’s Trails

    3. NEMBA trail grant part 1 approved.  Part 2 due May-7

      1. Looking for $10k as a seed for matching grants. Total ~$400k project cost

    4. Dennis had another meeting about 3 weeks later. Scores of letters of support came in for the project.

  12. Cumberland Town pump track

    1. Groundbreaking scheduled for May-2024, pushed back due to community center construction.

    2. NEMBA contribution $1000 approved, $300 left

    3. NEMBA Trail Grant application - Dennis/Willem

  13. NBX having an event on 6/15 with their new demo trail and pump track
