  1. Thank you Jenna for the minutes, Shannon for cat herding.

    1. Member #’s, account $, etc.

  2. President apologizes for his failing faculties.

  3. Welcome to any newcomers.

  4. Adventure ride update?

    1. House raffle needs more entries, 2 people have made donations – Chris Hughes to post again/more often. Maybe make a new graphic?

    2. Drawing is on the 29th unless we decide to extend further for more entries

  5. Roger Williams Park trail project: resuming discussions.

    1. Zoom meeting with RI parks on 6/15 – hoping for provisional go-ahead

  6. Tent. We can join other chapters for a bulk order of standard NEMBA tent. Any chapter-specific branding could be done with tablecloth, banner, etc.

    1. Yes – Alan to ask Travis to put together an order

    2. Anything RI branded? – Defer until next meeting Alan looking into who could do it.

  7. 2021 event calendar.

    1. Resume as soon as we can get permits (30 days once submitted)?

      1. Run signups using Bike Reg to limit ridership to 75. Can then have a list of people that signed up.

        1. Allow people to select a timeslot, limit to 30 (say), then only have a small number in the woods at a given time. Alan to see if DEM will accept this. Also a good option given ongoing COVID concerns

      2. Try to steer towards new riders, make GPX available to riders following official ride for those that could not sign up. Ultimately first come first served.

    2. Wayne has answers on insurance process

    3. Any COVID protocols (beyond official requirements)?

      1. Wait until after summer season

        1. Give as much time as possible for COVID concerns to alleviate

        2. Riding areas need a break from 2020 summer/fall

    4. 75 limit? (With COVID cooling but still serious, not the time to push relief)

    5. Possible Fun Ride venues:

      1. Big River? (Alan unavailable until August).

      2. Arcadia? (by process of elimination, this seems like a good option)

      3. Woody Hill? (needs some relief, experiencing very high riding volumes)

      4. Diamond Hill? (not a good beginner area (except on western side))

      5. Snake Den?

      6. Other?

  8. New Business from board?

    1. Janet Coit going on to federal position, Terry Grey taking over role (6/19)

      1. A small group should aim to meet with the person that replaced Kathy Sparks at DEM, and possibly with Terry Grey. Send an email request to meet.

    2. Who owns Foster land trust/who is managing it?

      1. Glenn is the liaison

      2. Alan to talk to Glenn about who to take over role or shadow/help Glenn

    3. Meeting next week about browning mill bridge

    4. Next month aim to at least have a small in-person meeting outside (perhaps informally) Morse’s patio?

    5. Rhody Rovers 6/27 (Sunday) using all of Big River (Carrs Pond and Burnt Sawmill side) – should be posted to members and non-members to stay out of Big River on that day

    6. Any resolution with person in Woody Hill whos bike was confiscated? Why was this done? –Alan to speak to Glenn about what happened

    7. Thursday group ride? Should not officially do this as RI NEMBA this year, especially given lateness of the season when it would be approved (30 days post permit application submittal)

    8. Need to start promoting trail etiquette in person again

  9. Comments/requests/concerns/questions/complaints from newcomers?

  10. Groundhog Day items follow

    1. John Machata trail grant. In process. DEM working on a new standard bridge design and this project will be first to use it.

      1. Alan needs a waiver signed to participate

    3. Woody Hill access

      1. Glenn trying to get different access point, working with town.

    4. Legal task force did not meet in May. Alan fail. –

    5. Ideas for 75 problem?

      1. Force limit with registration? (overflow would still appear to be the event; food truck bail)

      2. 2 day event?

      3. Beginner, intermediate, advanced start times?

      4. Staggered start times.

      5. Regulatory relief.

    6. DEM survey. Thanks to folks who posted.

      1. Interesting that NEMBA was specifically named

      2. Based on concern for funding, trying to identify who uses state lands.

      3. Runs through April, might get results by the end of 2021.

    7. Web Site Review.

      4. Can include link to merchandise, if we get it made.

    8. Consider potential uses of funds from grant money, etc. Creative, new uses.
