Finally Spring - And Mud

So you think it’s time to ride, eh? The grass is slightly less white than it was last week. It’s creeping past the 50 degree mark. You’re water bottle (remember, the round plastic thing that clips on to your downtube?) doesn’t freeze after mile 3. It’s time to hit the dirt.
Or Not
Riding in the spring, while tempting can be damaging to the trails that we’re trying to preserve access to. So, instead of hitting the trail - or mud pit as it will be known for the next few weeks how about sucking it up for a couple of more weeks and try to stay out of the leftover sand on the median strips. Besides, if you’ve ever hit a loose patch of road sand with sub 20 centimeter tires you’ve learned what balance really is.
