Wow,
What a great day. We got a lots of work done, and it sure looked great when we were done! We carried about a ton of lumber to the site we were working on (my arms and shoulders are still sore!) and built four sections of boardwalk, totalling probably about 70 feet!
I just got en email from Chris Shafer, Project Leader for the Narragansett chapter of the AMC, thanking us:
“I think we accomplished a very significant amount of good trailwork on Saturday… I am very grateful to each of you for your contributions to make this a very successful and satisfying day.”
A huge thanks to Jim Grimley, Dave and Ryan King, Matt Schulde (and the Epic workhorse!), Matt LePard, Al Moder, Jim Hoard, Mike Saunders, Tom Pearson, Steve Post, and Aaron and Max Rome.
The Park and the AMC both appreciate our efforts and projects like this go a long way toward creating good relations and good trails.
