Rumors
So, I’ve heard some cool stuff recently with regard to local ‘cross racing. Joe @ Providence Bicycle is looking into organizing a series in Providence. This is great news for those of us not able to make the trip to the Caster’s training races after work. The series may not start until next year but it will be a welcome addition to the local calendar and should help motivate folks like me to actually start racing ‘cross again someday. It would be awesome to have a series close to home and should be a nice addition to the overall state of bike racing in RI.
It also looks like the above mentioned shop is going to give the 29er thing a fair shake in ‘07. They most likely will have some Redline demo bikes available for the discerning rider not interested in plunking down the coin to take a 29er for a ride sight unseen (or unridden as the case may be). Yeah, I know I’m a huge proponent of 29ers, possibly to a fault at times, but believe me when I say it’s worth taking one for a spin in the woods and cheking it out for yourself.
Eventually I plan on writing some quick reviews of parts I’ve put some decent time on (On One Il Pompino, Mary bars, White Industries FW and ENO crankset). Until then get out and ride before it starts to snow!
