National Trail’s Day Saturday June 7th

If you would like to help out this Saturday, June 7th,we will be working in Burlingame at 11:00am. In particular, there are some bridges to shore up on the Vin Gormley Trail. We are going to build some rock patios at the end of each bridge where our front tires are creating muddy dips from riding off them. There might be a separate “Special” project or two, also.

We might need a shovel or two. As always, boots and gloves are recommended, as well as bug spray, snacks and hydration.

The park has given us permission to park inside the campground, at the top of the trail. I have marked the location on the attached image, but most of you know where the top of the Vin Gormley Trail is. JUST BE SURE TO TAKE THE CAMPGROUND EXIT (it’s the one after the Picnic Area Lot exit, going south).

If they ask at the gate, tell them you are there to do trail work with NEMBA on the Vin Gormley Trail.

Any questions, feel free to call my cell: 401-212-6694.

Hope to see you there!

PS: Numerous other projects are under consideration but yet to be approved. Arcadia re-routes, Lincoln Woods new trail, a significant bridge project in Big River. Will keep posting updates on our other projects.
